The agreements were signed between Dandara Solar Energy Company, a subsidiary of Norwegian renewable energy company Scatec ASA, and three international lenders: EBRD, AfDB, and EIB.
The Presidential Spokesperson, Mohamed El-Shinawy, stated that the meeting discussed ways to strengthen investment cooperation between Egypt and the relevant Norwegian entities and companies.
The Norwegian executives expressed their gratitude for the attention and support their investments receive in Egypt.
The President noted the significant opportunities available in Egypt’s market, particularly in sectors such as energy—including traditional, renewable, and green energy—transport, infrastructure, industry, agriculture, and information and communications technology
According to CAPMAS, Egyptian exports to Norway reached $15 million in the first 10 months of 2024, up from $11 million during the same period in 2023.
